南头古城·Nantou City
Nantou is an ancient historic town, and is an urban village now within Shenzhen, dwarfed by the skyscrapers that surround it. Recently attempts have been made to develop Nantou as a cultural and creative hub – the town hosted the 2017 Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism and Architecture, for example – and MVRDV’s renovation project is the largest in a number of renovations proposed by Vanke, all with designs by nationally and internationally renowned architects.

if工厂·Idea Factory
CABLE is located at Idea Factory, Nantou City. Idea Factory is renovated from a disused factory to a “creative factory” by MVRDV. The highlight design of the factory is a central public staircase, which creates an open view into surroundings. The roof terrace, known as “The Green House”, is also a space created for public activities and relaxation.
