The history of the dynasties witnessed the expansion of the frontier, the change of towns and the rise and fall of maritime transportation in Quanzhou, laying down a thick tradition for the formation of the urban network in this region. The expansion of the sea and the establishment of towns, and the mutual influence of the free-flowing "city" and the "city" of guards and pacification, have made the history of trade and transportation patterns an important clue to understanding the changes in Quanzhou's urban space from the past to the present. Today, we gather in this rich area to redraw the relationship between Quanzhou and the world map in the historical perspective, to talk about the remodeling plans of coastal urban areas at home and abroad, and to focus on the local urban renewal practices in the Southeast region, in the hope of revealing the historical genes and the cultural driving force behind the development of Fengze as the central urban area of Quanzhou. Against the backdrop of the new river-sea city pattern planned for Quanzhou Bay, the exhibition invites the audience to view the future of the city in the midst of development and change, and to establish a common public perception.
